FREMONT, CA: Partnering with Aerohive Networks and Ruckus Wireless turns out to be more beneficial for Brocade, which is also backed up by HP’s Aruba business. The firms embark on a purposeful attempt with this alliance for enhancing enterprises with integrated wired and wireless offerings for their campus network.
Brocade had its first moment of fame while collaborating with Hewlett-Packard’s Aruba Networks, under which it ventured to evolve a converged networking solution for campus environments.
By introducing Aerohive and Ruckus into the newly formed Open Mobility platform, the communication company will encourage the Wireless LAN (WLAN) products to anticipate high performance on Brocade’s wired network infrastructure. The deal will lend support to new technologies, such as software-defined networking (SDN) while giving customers leeway to pick their own choice of wireless vendors.
Brocade is currently among the top wired networking vendors that are partnering with parallel wireless service providers to develop a converged networking solution for the enterprise.
The Open Mobility Solutions Program stands out by integrating with its ICX networking switches with the partners’ wireless technologies. The services are then tested for interoperability, which strengthens users with more security and unified management of networks by offering unified technical support through a single point of contact.
The data and storage based company in a combined effort with Aruba, Aerohive and Ruckus will design the management tools and security policies for the converged networks. The solution will be available through Brocade’s subscription program, which gives a more liberal financing alternative to the customer.
